Check out the types of viruses that infect your PC

Computer viruses were labeled as viruses because of the fact that they are similar to that of biological viruses in the aspect of multiplying themselves. Similarly they find a host and then infect and multiply themselves. However in both cases there must be a cause in order for the problem to begin.
A biological virus must inject its DNA into a cell, whereas a computer virus must carry itself on some other program or document to get executed. There are different types of computer viruses, and each type namely computer virus and destructive types, have their own qualities that make them the distinct virus. It is incredibly important to learn and understand the different types of computer viruses. There are two objectives behind this. While the first one is for gaining knowledge, the second one is to equip you to deal if your own PC gets a virus.

What Are The Different Types Of Computer Viruses?

There are different types of computer viru ses, and each type has their own separate features and factors that make them different from one another. Among the different types of computer viruses the most familiar ones are computer virus types and internet types of virus. As a matter it can often be arduous and confusing when trying to determine one type of computer virus from another. However, there are many subtle and obvious distinctions which set the different types of computer virus apart from each other.

The basic different types of computer viruses consist of Trojan horses, worms, and email viruses. A Trojan horse is one of the main types of computer viruses, and it is a virus which is nothing more than a computer program. However these types of viruses can do an incredible amount of damage to your PC. They are a program which pretends to do one thing while actually doing damage to that program when the user starts it. Trojan horse attacks is one of the most serious threats of all as far as your computer security is concerned and so these types of viruses can be spread in the guise of literally anything, which makes it almost essentially impossible to notice them, even when you are looking specifically for them.

Some pieces of advice that you to avoid Trojan horse viruses are: never download from people you d on't know or from sites that you are not sure about; even if the file comes from a friend, you should still make sure to check to see the file before opening it. You must be careful about hidden file extensions. Never use any features in your programs that automatically get or preview files., Never type in any commands that others tell you to type, and never go to any web addresses that are mentioned by strangers. You must never run pre-fabricated programs or scripts. Do not be lulled into a false sense of security just because you run anti-virus programs, and do not ever download an executable program if you not completely sure of what it is and that it is safe.

A worm is one of the most common types of computer viruses, and these types of viruses work by using computer networks and security flaws to be able to create copies of itself, and then the copied worm will continue to scan the computer network in search of any other security flaws. Worms are basically more complex than Trojan horses, and a computer worm does not need a host program to be able to infect.
You can do your best to try and protect yourself against worm viruses by keeping up-to-date with regards to installing patches which are provided by operating systems and application vendors.

you should be careful when opening any attachments sent in your emails, as worm viruses can transfer through this way also.

Email viruses are different types of viruses, which uses email messages to transport, and can automatically send itself to hundreds, and thousands of people depending on whose email address they victimize. There are certain basic rules that you can follow which will help you to avoid email viruses. Some of them include never open any attachment unless you know the sender and you were expecting it. If you happen to receive a particular email message with an attachment from someone you don't know you should delete it immediately and never open it. Always use antivirus software and remember to constantly check f or updates.Always let someone know when you will be sending them an attachment in an email so that they can be expecting it; and always use spam filters to block unwanted and unrecognizable mail.
